COUNTDOWN TO REDLAC CONGRESS IN SAINT LUCIA OCTOBER 7TH -10TH 

The 2024 Latin American and Caribbean Network of Environmental Funds (RedLAC) Congress is taking place in Saint Lucia from October 7-10, marking the first time that the regional body holds its annual event in the Eastern Caribbean.


Over 200 attendees from 20 countries along with strategic partners from around the world, are expected to participate in this 26th RedLAC Congress.


Since being established in 1999, RedLAC has facilitated the development and implementation of innovative financial mechanisms tailored to the specific needs of the region. Together, RedLAC’s 32 members protect 50% of the world’s tropical forests, 41% of the world’s mammals, 33% of the total reptile species, and 50% of the world’s birds.


This year’s Congress is presented by the Sandals Foundation and organized by the Saint Lucia National Conservation Fund (SLUNCF) with support from the Caribbean Biodiversity Fund (CBF), and the Environmental Investment Fund of El Salvador (FIAES) which hosts the RedLAC Secretariat.
